Had dinner & then left for home!
I'll give you statistics. Every 14secs, a child is being orphaned by parents; reasons could be due to either poverty or AIDS. & by the time you read this post, 1o kids are being left in the world all alone to face the cruel realities of uncertainty and hopelessness.
It is also estimated that in a couple of years, 200 million of children will be affected.
We are so fortunate to be born here, in Singapore. We spend almost $2 each day to travel to school using public transportation. We spend nearly $200 on a single shopping trip & buy cars costing $150,000 on an average.
Kids in Africa and developing countries are struggling to survive & are denied of simple life needs like food, clothing & education. Well, what we can do is to simply save $1.50 a day? & sponsor a kid for only $45 a month until they enter university & are eligible to support themselves with their own capabilities.
Hmm, we can actually bring hope to them. Money essentially, is everything to them. We have the power & the opportunity to help them, so lets (including me) stop whining about how the latest season's clothes suck & how its so tiring to go to school. Its a luxury.
xx
