to an extent i recognize that this problem do exists within ourselves & acknowledge that perfection can't be attained but at the same time, we kill ourselves trying so hard.. to fail

its really not easy to feel good about myself (or yourself) when everyone is comfortable glamorizing all these aspects women are thought to be able to achieve

"hollywood" sounds like a planet on its own

& we are all looking up to it, worshipping them, the things they buy, the colors they wear

a pity right? how easily manipulated & willing we are to be moulded by them stars of hollywood

JAPANESE GARDEN/ 2011

hello my dears. hehehehehe. this was maybe 3 days back? Jon & I met for dimsum breakfast & for a short walk in Japanese garden.

its been years since i've been to such parks hehe i mean excluding wcp/ ecp

sighhh i miss my fatty!! hes playing the guitar now. we were watching The Tourist tog just now & its quite a good show :B

cant wait for him to come back. each time i drive past couples, i have this strong inner desire to run them down

its not even a month since he left for manchester. three more months to go :( i've been bumming around these past few weeks.. occasionally drawing, playing the piano, plucking the harp hahaha & working over the weekends.

to an extent, im embracing my freedom but on the other hand, i feel like im a burden to life. ive nothing to look forward now other than seeing zy every evening/ night

guess i'll have to really come up with something

no one likes useless people

& oh yes, last night.. i earned $50 an hour just sitting around with a group of "cool + alternative" people lol.

so after our pretty light dinner, we walked around the nearby fruits market. & again, i dont understand why Malaysia seems to have such glorious fruits & Singapore doesnt :( Even if we do, its not going to be cheap

well, its not the durian season. i think its approaching the end of it.. so it wasn't that good but still nice.. decent :B

family days are important. i would prefer to keep my mondays available only for my family :> everytime the weekend is over, i'd look forward to family dinners/ family outings hehehe. feeling like a 5yr old all over again. maybe thats why i rarely suffer from monday blues :D

i like family vacations too heeeeee. we have a family friend "Mrs Lee" who followed us to Japan a few years ago & she was surprised & amazed that even though we're all adults & you know.. acting independent/ growing up & all, we still prefer traveling as a family. its nice to spend the week not doing anything, just enjoying each others company with nothing to worry about except for the next eating place

so todays sunday which means its the end of the week or to some, (optimist/ people who love their jobs), its the beginning of a new week..

well i was skyping with zy last night till probably 2 in the morning & he was telling me how his friends said he was henpecked by his previous girlfriend

okay. so for the first few seconds i was like aww, what a gentlemannnn ~~~ & then when i keep repeating to myself, its just so familiar. like as if someone said it before..but i dont remember anyone saying it to me.

hmm but it hit me.

i've watched Ip man probably 15 times. at least.

MY WEEK IN PICTURES

so this was on Monday.. Daddy brought us to his favorite place somewhere in HongKong street for the ol' Singaporean style breakfast/ lunch (okay brunch)

He had his really thick cup of coffee.. I had iced milo :B & ordered toasts. mmmmm really yummy but because they're so generous with their butter, its rather unhealthy.

& for LUNCH -.- I was already 70% full lol but anyhow, went to Lei Garden & then Resorts World

I love Chijmes.

Doesnt feel like Singapore aye.. A pity tho, we can't sell Alfresco like how Paris & Italy can

Well, theres another beauty .. which looks very similar to a leopard eel. According to the waitress, a dish made out of that fish can easily cost up to $1000

I LOVE THIS SANDWICH I WANT TO EAT IT NOW.

The bread they use is Sourdough which was lightly toasted so it has a little crunch to it on the outside & then soft on the inside. I ordered Leg ham which has a slight hint of honey taste to it which also came with a slice of grilled zucchini & a thick slab of cheese in between the goodness ughhhhh & to top it off, it was drizzled with a tangy yet also sweet & peppery tomato sauce

*orgasm*

it costs $14.50 which, is quite pricey. but its worth it! at least a try?

hahaha then drove to Sentosa for a walk along the beach. Surprisingly, the weather was kinder :> so it was almost perfect

Okay so anyway, we stopped a guy who must be on his way home to help us take a picture using my phone but OBVIIOUSLYYY it couldnt capture the evening light T.T so he offered to take a picture for us using his camera - which was a dslr & OKAY. seriously. the lighting, the macro & everything.. its like a bridal shot LOL

thats not the freaky part. after all of us agreed that it was a good photo, he started making us stand

& took like probably 30 photos. He said he'll even edit it for us & then send the photos via email. in the beginning, we were very skeptical & like all Singaporeans.. wary of him. I mean, hello taking pictures of us at all angles. hes a stranger.. Oh wait. he's called Oliver

ah well, lets just wait for the pictures to come in & then decide if there really such enthusiastic & friendly people out there

after the mini photoshoot under the sun -.- we went to Candylicious at Resorts World for a sorbet lollie!!!! yummmmmm :D

hehe okay todays thursday which is my anniversary with bai.

you know, actually we've already reached a year (a month after a year)

but for official purposes, we will only be turning one year in September lol

NO WONDER i always had this feeling that we've been tog for quite a while

sheesh

anyway, like always.. im spending it alone :/

some people find month-asaries lame or uncalled for

but i think its pretty cute :> theres no need for a reason to celebrate being together but you know, its a milestone :D
